Xcel Energy is seeking a Senior Asset Analyst to lead strategic analyses and optimize the electric and gas asset portfolio. You will influence investment, operational, and regulatory decisions across multiple business areas.

You will mentor analysts, develop asset life-cycle analyses, and collaborate with regulatory, finance, and operations teams to drive value for customers and shareholders.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, mathematics, economics, or accounting, or Engineering or technical degree acceptable with advanced degree in finance or related field.
• 8 years of financial modeling experience in a utility or similar industry.
• Strong business/financial acumen and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly in writing and presentations.
• Detail-oriented, self-starter able to work independently and in groups.
• Must effectively manage workload to meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Create, execute, and lead strategic and economic analyses that generate recommendations on investment, operational and market strategy, and strategic growth for the regional portfolios.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to Operations, Regulatory, and executive leadership on financial and operational characteristics of the portfolio.
• Provide project management support for strategic initiatives related to the asset portfolio and regulatory proceedings.
• Support cost modeling tools by providing accurate asset data for company-wide analysis.
• Mentor Sr. Asset Analysts and act as a resource for modeling, decision analysis, regulatory issues, and asset knowledge.
