Job summary

Cengage Group in the United States is seeking a Sales Consultant to support the sales process with administrative activities such as content mapping, system updates, order processing, billing reviews, and contract alignment.

You will plan and organize selling strategies, provide day-to-day admin support to enable revenue generation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across time zones to maintain coverage and drive opportunities.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree strongly preferred.
• At least two years of successful sales (or customer interaction) experience.
• Direct sales, marketing or editorial experience.
• Experience working with digital sales products and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and support selling strategies in partnership with sales leadership and other sales personnel.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support that enables sales teams to focus on customer engagement and revenue-generating activity.
• Update and maintain Salesforce, including opportunity, account, contact, activity, and territory information as needed.
• Pull and organize CRM and Sales Operations reports to support opportunity analysis, territory planning, forecasting, and follow-up.
• Assist with contract alignment, order processing and review, billing questions or reviews, and related customer or internal follow-through.
• Manage and support content mapping exercises and other customer-specific sales support activities.
• Support marketing and sales initiatives as they relate to account development, customer engagement, and territory execution.
• Coordinate effectively with Sales Management, Account Directors, Customer Success, Solutions Specialists, and other cross-functional partners.
• Identify process gaps, customer trends, or recurring needs and communicate recommendations that can improve sales execution or customer support.
