Job summary

ERMCO-ECI Remote is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to grow relationships with key customers in the distribution transformer sector. You’ll develop deep understanding of client needs and coordinate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.

This remote role is US-based (open to multiple states) with travel up to 50% to customer sites and events. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in strategic account management are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic account management, sales, or business development.
• Proven success managing complex customer relationships and driving revenue growth.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data and develop actionable account strategies.
• Preferred: Knowledge of the distribution transformer industry and products.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing, electrical equipment, or related industries.
• Advanced degree or relevant certifications in sales or account management.
• Proficiency with CRM and sales analytics tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base within the distribution transformer industry.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned strategic accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Identify and pursue growth opportunities within strategic accounts to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Operations to deliver customer-centric solutions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their business challenges and aligning ERMCO’s offerings accordingly.
• Prepare and present regular business reviews, forecasts, and account plans to both customers and internal leadership.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing in alignment with company guidelines and customer expectations.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic account management plans.
• Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and escalations to maintain positive relationships.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
• Travel required to customer sites and industry events (up to 50%).
