Davalyn Corporation is seeking a Technical Sales & Strategic Account Manager to lead growth with a major North American distribution partner. This highly visible role blends strategic account management, technical sales, and application support to develop new business and expand existing accounts across CNC machining environments.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in technical sales or related roles, with deep knowledge of CNC processes and a proven ability to communicate across all levels
Our client is an established international manufacturer of precision tooling solutions serving the CNC machining and metalworking industries. Their products help manufacturers improve machining accuracy, productivity, and process performance across milling, drilling, turning, reaming, Swiss machining, and other high-precision machining applications.
They are seeking a Technical Sales & Strategic Account Manager to lead the continued growth of a major North American distribution partnership. This highly visible position combines strategic account management, technical sales, customer application support, and business development. It offers an outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with manufacturing customers while collaborating with distributor sales organizations to develop new business and expand existing accounts.
Professionals who have built successful careers as Sales Engineers, Applications Engineers, Technical Sales Engineers, Technical Account Managers, or Regional Sales Managers supporting precision machining environments will find this role particularly well aligned with their experience.
The ideal candidate understands how tooling decisions influence productivity, cycle times, tool life, surface finish, and overall machining performance. This expertise may have been developed while selling or supporting cutting tools, toolholders (tool holders), workholding (work holding) systems, CNC machine tools, precision tooling, or other engineered products used in metalworking environments.
Successful candidates often come from customer-facing technical roles where they have balanced business development with application support—working directly with machinists, CNC programmers, manufacturing engineers, tooling engineers, process engineers, production managers, purchasing teams, and executive leadership to solve manufacturing challenges and develop long-term customer relationships.
Experience working through industrial distributors, manufacturers' representative organizations, or strategic channel partners is highly desirable, along with the ability to develop business plans, prioritize growth opportunities, and execute market development strategies.
This position offers the opportunity to play a meaningful role in the growth of an established global manufacturer while working with advanced machining technology and precision manufacturing customers throughout North America. You'll have the autonomy to influence business strategy, support complex machining applications, strengthen key distributor relationships, and help manufacturers improve productivity through consultative technical selling and long-term partnerships.
