Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking an Account Leader near Austin, TX to drive growth with a major hyperscale data center client. You will act as a trusted advisor, shaping account strategy, and leading cross-functional teams across multiple business units to deliver integrated solutions.

The role emphasizes strategic negotiations, long-term partnerships, and leadership in a fast-paced environment. Remote work is possible with a requirement to be based near Austin, Texas.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in sales/account management.
• 5+ years in the energy/power sector selling similar solutions.
• 5+ years working with data center clients, ideally hyperscalers.
• Proven success in matrixed, cross-functional environments.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Candidate must have work authorization to work in the United States for Hitachi Energy.
• Travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture executive-level relationships with a strategic data center customer.
• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive account strategy.
• Drive growth by aligning customer needs with Hitachi Energy’s solutions.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across five business units.
• Act as the central point of contact for all customer interactions and escalations.
• Represent customer interests internally while supporting business unit goals.
• Mentor and guide internal teams to ensure alignment and success.
• Lead strategic negotiations and manage complex projects.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
