Job summary

City of Austin - Watershed Protection is seeking a Drainage Ops & Maint II to perform skilled construction and maintenance in storm water facilities, erosion control, and open waterways. You will operate heavy equipment, assist with traffic control, and help maintain compliance with TMUTCD standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years in maintenance/construction.
• Experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret plans.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and support maintenance/repair tasks.
• Perform storm water management activities and erosion control.
• Conduct daily safety checks and documentation; assist training.
• Support traffic control, form building, and pavement/landscape tasks.
