Job summary

City of Austin seeks a DOM Assistant to support storm drain installation, repair, excavation, shoveling, and concrete work. You will operate a Class C truck, conduct inspections, and assist with flagging and traffic control per TCP Manual.

Safety, teamwork, and readiness for on-call rotations are essential. Essential duties include working in trenches, coordinating with the lead, and maintaining tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in maintenance and/or construction and/or concrete work.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions; log tasks and reports.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Construct and rehabilitate storm drainage structures and concrete forms.
• Execute landscape tasks and erosion control measures as directed.
• Assist with traffic control, flagging, and site safety procedures.
• Work in open waterways, storm water facilities, and during emergencies.
