Target in Eugene, OR offers a Stores Executive Internship that is a paid 40 hr/week hands-on training program to prepare you for store leadership. As a Stores Executive Intern, you will learn how to lead within a retail store and gain exposure to multiple areas of the business while working with mentors to develop leadership skills.

The internship focuses on guest experience, daily operations, team leadership, and performance feedback, with opportunities to step into leadership responsibilities

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong interest in working in retail, specifically within our stores in management.
• Leadership skills and team-oriented thinking.
• Learn and adapt to current technology needs.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead team on store floor and backroom with daily priorities.
• Learn from ETL mentor and leaders to understand roles.
• Lead daily priorities: stocking shelves, welcoming guests, displays.
• Coach and give feedback to team members on performance.
• Resolve concerns and remove obstacles to operations.
• Lead daily huddles with leadership peers.
• Plan daily goals and organize tasks around building needs.
• Present results and priorities to leadership team.
