Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help keep a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist with supervision, merchandising, deposits, and cashiering to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will also help with scheduling, training, and ensuring compliance with store policies. The role involves stock management, planograms, and maintaining inventory accuracy under the Store Manager’s direction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cash register and scanner, handle deposits and refunds.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Rotating merchandise on shelves and building displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with planograms.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and deposits.
