Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the direction of the Store Manager, you will assist with supervising store employees, merchandising, paperwork, and deposits.

You will also perform stocking and cashiering functions to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets and reducing losses. This on-site role is based in Arlington, TX.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and generate cashier reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers and operate the cash register to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling and training employees, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise including receiving, stocking, rotating and displays.
• Help maintain inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, scans and paperwork.
• Assist with planograms and ensure merchandise presentation per standards.
• Support store financial integrity through cashier accountability and deposit procedures.
• Assist in store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
