Job summary

Dollar General seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist with supervision, merchandise presentation, deposits, and store operations under the Store Manager's direction.

The role covers stocking, cashiering, and other duties to maximize profitability and protect assets. Experience in retail and supervisory duties is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling employees, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, displays, and planograms as directed.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through damages, markdowns, scanning, and paperwork.
