Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You assist with merchandising, opening/closing, scheduling, and ensuring a safe, clean shopping environment. You will also train associates and uphold company policies while driving promotional displays and loss prevention.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and a customer-focused mindset in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; able to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas to company standards and ensure safety.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and presentable store environment.
