Job summary

Follett Higher Education in South Carolina is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support a Market Leader or Campus Store Manager in overseeing store operations, driving sales growth, and delivering brand and operational excellence.

You will mentor your team, monitor performance metrics, ensure customer service excellence, and uphold Follett Values while handling opening/closing, cash handling, merchandising, and day-to-day store processes.

Qualifications

• An Associate's Degree or equivalent is preferred.
• 0-5 years of retail or bookstore experience preferred; supervisory experience preferred.
• General computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises sales team activities, scheduling, training, and policy compliance.
• Greet customers, answer phones, resolve issues; support a service-focused culture.
• Receive/unload orders; operate cash register; balance cash and deposits.
• Stock shelves, take inventory, and maintain merchandising standards.
• May cover breaks; open/close responsibilities as keyholder.
• Prepare end-of-month reporting and assist with accounts receivable tasks.
