Follett Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support a Market Leader or Campus Store Manager in overseeing store operations and driving sales growth. You will mentor the team, manage daily tasks, and deliver a high level of customer service aligned with Follett Values.

You will stay engaged in financial metrics, inventory, merchandising and staffing, ensuring compliance with policies while promoting a positive shopping experience for students and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred.
• 0-5 years of retail or bookstore experience preferred; supervisory experience preferred.
• General computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the work activities of sales team members FT/PT and Temporary, including scheduling hours.
• Onboards and trains new hires, including peak-season staff.
• Greet customers, answer phones, provide information, resolve escalated issues, and foster a solutions-based customer culture.
• Receive, verify, and unload orders as necessary.
• Operate cash register and store computer to accept payments and balance cash drawers.
• Stock shelves and manage inventory per Store schedule.
• May perform general store cleaning and merchandising duties.
• Keyholder with opening and closing responsibilities.
