Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and participate in opening and closing procedures.

You will work with store leaders to train and develop associates, maintain clean and organized areas, handle inventory tasks, and ensure a safe, friendly shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Execute corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for optimal impact.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record-keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash handling), and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Follow policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates comply.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
