Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is well-organized from delivery to sales floor.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, payroll and scheduling support, cash handling, and loss prevention. You will train and develop store associates while maintaining a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits) and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines and ensure associates follow policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness throughout the store, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, and taking out the trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
