Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store leadership, supervise staff, manage inventory, and ensure excellent customer service. You will help with scheduling, training, cash handling, and banking deposits while maintaining store presentation and adherence to policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience and supervisory exposure preferred.
• Strong customer service and cash handling understanding.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling and training of employees and safety meetings.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, planograms and displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory and perform deposits and cash controls.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager's absence.
