Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to uphold a customer-first store environment and support daily operations. You will assist the Store Manager with supervision, merchandise presentation, deposits, and loss prevention while ensuring excellent service.

The role includes cashiering, stocking, scheduling, training, and maintaining inventory accuracy. A high school diploma and retail experience are preferred, with growth opportunities within a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, operate cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, restocking and building displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through damages control, markdowns, scanning, paperwork and facility controls.
• Assist in planogram implementation and merchandise presentation per guidelines.
• Support store finances with cashier accountability, key control, refunds, and deposits.
• Assist with store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
