Job summary

Rack Room Shoes in Charleston, SC seeks a Team Lead to supervise day-to-day store operations while ensuring 100% compliance with company policies. You will lead, train and guide staff under the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, and step in during their absence to run the store.

The role supports achieving sales, service and operational goals, with emphasis on customer experience, POS procedures, merchandising, and loss prevention. A Team Lead may be full- or part-time management.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility is the safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create, establish and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience.
• Maintain and reinforce current service level standards.
• Provide service training and leadership to staff members.
• Manage customer issues with a sense of urgency and to the satisfaction of our customer.
• All POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure
• Sales, Discounts and Refunds
• Loyalty
• Open/Closing procedures
• Inventory Control responsibilities to include adherence to all policies and procedures in regards to shipping and receiving, price management, singles, damaged merchandise, physical inventory
• Sales floor merchandising and visual presentation responsibilities to include adherence to company standards
• Payroll control responsibilities to include adherence to all policies and procedures in regards to scheduling, payroll budget compliance, time & attendance
• Training and development of direct reports, adherence to policies and procedures
• Loss prevention responsibilities to include adherence to all policies and procedures for protection and control of company assets
• Work towards a complete understanding of managing all day to day operations
