Job summary

Lids is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and coach a team of associates. You’ll ensure exceptional customer experiences, maintain store standards, and execute corporate directives with a hands-on leadership style.

The role demands strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to manage through busy shifts while upholding Lids brand integrity across product and service.

Qualifications

• Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear professional manner.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues, customer complaints, etc.
• Lead store associates through training programs and goal setting with regular follow up.
• Administer progressive discipline as needed and maintain policies.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive team environment aligned with brand standards.
• Schedule and staff the store, including calling in for peaks.
• Recruit and train store personnel on operations and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, protect inventory and funds.
• Drive selling strategy to achieve KPIs and deliver exceptional service.
• Resolve customer feedback and escalations to make it right.
• Encourage participation in membership programs and in-store offers.
• Maintain visual merchandising, cleanliness, and professional appearance.
• Execute store operations directives and safety procedures.
• Maintain cash handling accuracy and prepare for inventory audits.
• Open and close the store following SOPs.
