Job summary

Lids is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations and deliver outstanding customer service. You will guide sales strategies, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with company standards while maintaining an engaging and inclusive work environment.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail setting. Reports to Store Manager and supports inventory, merchandising, and visual standards.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to drive sales while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on Duty to handle scheduling issues, customer complaints, and escalations.
• Lead and supervise store associates using LIDS training programs and set sales/tasks goals.
• Oversee discipline processes, including verbal and written warnings when the Store Manager is absent.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive team environment and ensure adherence to brand standards.
• Schedule and staff the store, including calling in associates during peak periods.
• Recruit and train store personnel on operations and procedures and ensure policy compliance.
• Support cash handling, inventory accuracy, and store audits.
• Open and close the store per Operations guidelines.
