Books-A-Million in Dubuque, IA is seeking a Keyholder who operates as a limited Manager on Duty, maintaining store security and supporting the management team.

You will lead the assigned category team, enhance customer service, manage deposits and supplies, train associates, and communicate through daily briefings and meetings to keep operations running smoothly. This role requires a high school diploma and prior supervisory experience, focusing on teamwork and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a supervisor role
• 18 years of age or older
• Successful completion of all background screenings
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned category team to maximize profits and customer service per policies
• Operate the store as limited Manager On Duty with management team
• Maintain store security as a key-holding member of management
• Ensure high levels of customer service and resolve complaints
• Maintain category merchandising and cleanliness; ensure operational efficiency
• Train and develop associates; facilitate cross-training
• Communicate via daily briefings and meetings
• Handle bank deposits and change orders as needed
• Procure café/grocery supplies as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
