Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a capable team member to open and close the store in the absence of management, handle cash, prepare the floor and stock room, and assist with deliveries. You will engage customers, resolve issues, and model a distinctive Walgreens experience.

You will also support inventory accuracy, pricing signage, and basic bookkeeping while coaching others and ensuring policy compliance. This role may involve assisting at the Pharmacy window and working with vendor deliveries.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including systems start-ups and cash handling.
• Handles returns, refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change to registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive customer experience.
• Engages customers by greeting them and assisting with products and services; resolves issues for a positive experience.
• Coaches team members on customer service best practices and Walgreens service traits.
• Maintains store keys and opens/closes as needed; supports vendor deliveries via back door.
• Registers sales and records scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
• Assists with order exceptions, reverse logistics, and displays/promotions; completes resets and revisions.
• Maintains inventory accuracy across departments and stockroom; manages pricing signage and local regulatory compliance tasks.
• Assists with bookkeeping activities (cash reports, counts, ledgers, bill payments) and with store maintenance.
• Supports food item separation, stock rotation, and stockouts; ensures clean, orderly store condition.
