Job summary

Walgreens in Severn, MD is seeking an experienced team member to open and close the store in the absence of management, handle cash and customer transactions, and maintain inventory integrity. You will engage customers, resolve issues, and support merchandising and back‑room operations.

As a key holder with at least one year of leadership or supervisory experience, you will model service excellence and help ensure compliance with store policies and local regulations. Training provided.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Knowledge of store inventory control (preferred).
• PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management and ensures floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change at registers.
• Engages customers and patients, greets them, and offers assistance to create a positive experience.
• Models customer service best practices and maintains Walgreens service traits.
• Maintains accurate inventory counts and ensures proper pricing and signage.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance and store system knowledge.
• Assist at Pharmacy out window as requested.
• Ensure compliance with state/local laws regarding regulated products.
