Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Stores leader at our Lima, OH location to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations, while mentoring teams to deliver exceptional customer service and sales results. The role includes staffing, coaching, and accountability for store performance.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of management experience and 2-3 years in retail, with strong communication and financial acumen to drive efficiency and growth within the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Experience in staffing, hiring, and staff development.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial info.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members; focus on customer service and sales goals.
• Oversee staffing, selection, and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Address disciplinary actions and make recommendations on discharges.
• Manage P&L, sales, and shrink within the department.
• Ensure store cleanliness, product presentation, and adherence to standards.
• Provide training and ensure teams complete required training.
