Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli) helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team clearly and provide direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial information.
• Successful completion of required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote career paths and development for team members; involve in promotions decisions.
• Disciplinary actions and recommendations concerning discharge.
• Manage P&L, achieve sales, and maintain shrink in the department.
• Model exceptional customer service and Meijer standards.
• Mentor and coach team to exceed sales goals and ensure safe operations.
• Ensure training is completed and responsibilities clearly understood.
• Engage with customers and team members to maintain top service levels.
