Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help protect the store and create a secure shopping environment. You will monitor entrances, exits, and high-risk areas with confidence, greet customers with a smile, and deter theft while upholding store standards.

The role emphasizes knowledge of theft trends, reporting incidents to the Manager on Duty, and assisting with shortage reduction training for associates in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to visually monitor store environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers; leadership to foster productive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-risk areas to deter theft and create a secure shopping environment.
• Greet customers with a warm, friendly greeting and maintain a professional appearance.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
• Deliver shortage reduction program knowledge during trainings and store rallies; enforce safety practices.
