Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to provide a visible presence at store entrances and on the sales floor, deterring theft while ensuring a safe environment for Associates and Customers. Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with all applicable laws and regulations for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment at store entrances and throughout the sales floor.
• Provides visible command presence and greets customers.
• Monitors Code 50 package inspection policy and loss prevention directives.
• Collaborates with Store Leadership to minimize shortage.
• Gathers theft indicators and communicates findings to leadership.
• Works with internal and external partners to support loss prevention initiatives.
• Represents the Ross brand with professional appearance and conduct.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support store operations and safety.
