Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to provide a visible presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor. You will deter theft, greet customers, and partner with leadership to maintain a safe, secure environment for associates and customers.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to Ross brand standards. Prior loss prevention or security training is preferred; a high school education is required, with an AA degree preferred.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a visible presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor to deter theft.
• Greets customers with eye contact and a friendly demeanor.
• Monitors for potential safety issues and ensures safe egress to exits.
• Trains and educates Associates on shortage reduction initiatives and loss prevention practices.
• Represents the Ross brand and adheres to the dress code.
• Collaborates with Store Leadership and Loss Prevention to minimize operational shortages.
