Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a secure retail environment, greet customers, and deter theft with a visible command presence.

You will work with Store Leadership to support safety and loss prevention initiatives while upholding Ross standards and procedures. Ideal candidates will have strong customer service skills, prior retail supervision or LP training, and a commitment to compliance with federal and state laws.

Qualifications

• Highly driven and capable of achieving results with limited oversight.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with all applicable laws for security positions, including background checks.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides visible Command presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Monitors for potential safety issues and communicates with leadership.
• Ensures safe egress and removes clutter to maintain security.
• Gathers theft indicators and informs store and LP leadership.
• Trains Associates on shortage reduction initiatives and checkout procedures.
