Burlington Stores in Tukwila, WA is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment and deliver outstanding customer service. You will be at the store entrances/exits, monitor for theft, greet customers, and report incidents to the Manager on Duty while supporting shortage reduction programs.

This role emphasizes confidence, situational awareness, and collaboration with store leadership to protect assets and ensure a safe, welcoming experience for shoppers.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
• Ability to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Excellent leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships.

Responsabilités

• Monitor the entrance and front of store to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and a loud, friendly greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Provide support in shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Train associates on shortage reduction programs and ensure safety practices.
