Job summary

Burlington Stores in Tukwila, WA is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service. Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers
• Excellent leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and a loud, friendly greeting, promoting a sense of control and security
• Monitor the entrance/exit to reduce opportunities for theft and maintain a secure environment
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty
• Assist in shortage reduction programs and training for associates
• Collaborate with store leadership to ensure safety and security standards are followed
