Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help keep our retail environment secure while delivering excellent customer service. You will stand at store entrances, greet customers, and monitor for theft, collaborating with leadership to report incidents promptly.

The role emphasizes knowing shortage programs, maintaining a professional appearance, and training teammates. Part-time schedule with associate discount and benefits eligibility after tenure are offered.

Qualifications

1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor the store environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

Monitor store entrances and exits to reduce theft opportunities.
Greet customers with a warm, loud, and friendly greeting to promote security.
Perform bag and package checks for store and corporate associates.
Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
