Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe and secure store environment, actively monitor entrances and sales floor, and provide excellent customer service.

The role emphasizes visible presence, orderly procedures, and collaboration with store leadership to minimize losses. The position requires high school education (AA preferred), and at least one year of retail supervision or loss prevention training.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required, AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Provide visible command presence and greet customers professionally.
• Remind customers and associates of safety and security procedures, monitor for potential issues.
• Support Loss Prevention initiatives and partner with Store Leadership.
• Monitor for theft indicators and communicate findings to leadership.
• Assist with minimizing operational shortage and ensuring proper checkout procedures.
