Michaels is seeking a Sales Manager for the St. Louis area to lead and champion a high-performing selling culture across the store, driving strong sales results and an engaging customer experience.

The role oversees front-end and service operations, supports SOP adherence, and drives key sales and service KPIs through coaching and effective day-to-day execution. Standing, walking and weekend hours are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end and service operations to meet KPIs.
• Coach team on customer experience and selling behaviors.
• Provide MOD coverage and maintain store conditions and operational continuity.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems.
• Oversee in-store programs and events like Balloons and Custom Framing as applicable.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention and visits.
• Drive guidance on MCC/Extend services and protection plans.
• Support Knit & Sew Shop operations and Cut Bar experience.
• Oversee BOPIS and Same Day Delivery execution.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Maintain Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
