Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager in the Alexandria, VA area to lead a high-performing store team and deliver an engaging customer experience. You will drive sales results by coaching staff on brand standards and selling behaviors while ensuring smooth front-end operations and omni-channel support.

You will train and coach team members, maintain SOPs, and oversee store programs, loyalty enrollment, and service offerings to optimize performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion a high-performing selling culture across the store and ensure execution of brand standards.
• Supervise front-end and service operations to drive customer satisfaction and sales KPIs.
• Coach and develop team members through TM onboarding and ongoing training.
• Provide MOD coverage, ensuring floor leadership and operational continuity.
• Oversee POS/Self-Checkout usage and customer support for transactions.
• Manage in-store programs and events (Balloons, Knit & Sew Shop, Cut Bar, rewards enrollment).
• Support BOPIS and Same Day Delivery execution for omni-channel service.
