The Michaels Companies Inc. in Alexandria is seeking a Retail Sales Manager (Full Time) to lead a high-performing selling culture and drive strong sales while delivering an engaging customer experience.

You will oversee front-end operations, POS accuracy, and in-store programs, while coaching the team to achieve KPIs and ensure excellent customer service. The role requires leadership experience and flexibility for varied hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage adherence to SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout, supporting smooth transactions.
• Oversee in-store programs (Balloons, birthday parties, loyalty enrollment).
• Drive omni-channel service with BOPIS and Same Day Delivery support.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Maintain Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
