Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. seeks a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe, secure environment at store entrances and on the sales floor, deterring theft and following Code 50 procedures.

You will partner with Store Leadership to minimize shortages, greet customers, build positive relationships with associates, and uphold the Ross brand through professional appearance and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent; AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with laws and regulations for security positions, including background checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security environment at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Provide visible presence and greet customers in a courteous manner.
• Partner with Store Leadership to ensure compliance with loss prevention directives.
• Minimize operational shortage and support shrink reduction initiatives.
• Represent the Ross brand with professional appearance and conduct.
