Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to uphold store safety, deter theft, and greet customers with a friendly, professional presence placed at entrances and on the floor.

In this role you will partner with store leadership to minimize shrink, monitor adherence to Code 50 procedures, and maintain a secure environment while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required, AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provides visible presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor in a vest attire.
• Remains vigilant to potential safety issues and assists Store Leadership with safety.
• Trains and educates Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Assists with adherence to loss prevention directives and programs.
• Represents the Ross Stores brand professionally at all times.
• Monitors for theft indicators and communicates findings to leadership.
• Supports compliance with external theft response policies.
• Participates in ongoing loss prevention initiatives and partner activities.
