Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager, you will supervise employees, assist with merchandise presentation, deposits, and daily paperwork to maximize profitability and protect assets.

You will perform stocking, cashiering, and duties to support store operations, including scheduling, training, planograms, and cash handling with accountability.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service leadership and communication abilities.
• Ability to supervise, train and schedule employees.
• Familiarity with cash handling, deposits, and loss prevention.
• Experience in retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and safety meetings for employees.
• Manage stocking, receiving, unpacking, and merchandising.
• Maintain accurate inventory and planograms per Store Manager guidance.
• Ensure cash control, deposits and refunds processes are followed.
• Assist in store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
