Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of North Carolina LLC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day functions, help customers, and ensure merchandise is properly stocked.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, lifting) as part of duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, stock levels, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record-keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and secure assets.
• Ensure policy adherence and a safe, respectful environment.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
