Qualifications

• High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED).
• 0-2 years of retail experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills.
• Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.
• Good strategic planning and business acumen skills.
• Good knowledge of retail store operations; knowledge of retail management systems.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Suggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products preferred
• Depending on company location, ability to communicate in Spanish is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of the department operations in a retail store.
• Ensure associates are trained, department is fully staffed, and operating to standards.
• Order and maintain inventory; ensure product freshness and quality.
• Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, weight, and condition.
• Manage a team for stocking, production, and related tasks to ensure quality and FIFO/promo rotation.
• Attend daily huddles and meetings; participate in district/company level discussions.
• Help develop schedules, labor control, and payroll expenses for the department.
• Ensure food safety, safety guidelines, and cleanliness throughout the store.
