Job summary

SpartanNash, located in Jenison, Michigan, is seeking a Store Operations Lead to direct and coordinate activities in the absence of the Store Director or Assistant Director, ensuring efficient operations and the best financial interests of the store.

You will monitor policy adherence, assist customers, maintain a clean, well-stocked store, and oversee time clock duties when managers are away. This role requires reliability and attention to detail in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• One year retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Monitor associate adherence to company policies.
• Able to run cashier register and courtesy desk and handle customer concerns efficiently.
• Understand and be familiar with store layout, safety equipment locations.
• Conduct regular inspections of all areas, providing feedback to department managers.
• In the absence of the Store Director or department manager, oversee time clock maintenance.
• May close store: lock doors, turn off lights, arm store, etc.
• Know product locations to assist customers.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, well-stocked store.
• Follow PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer needs.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
