Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• Meets state/local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

• Assist the direct store leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports to ensure results.
• Identify training opportunities to improve performance among team members.
• Model ALDI core values to foster teamwork and accountability.
• Monitor competitive environment and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Provide feedback on products and suggest items to carry or discontinue.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Communicate weekly updates and major milestones to the team.
• Ensure adherence to inventory, cash control, and product handling procedures.
• Resolve customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader.
• Identify hazards and ensure store equipment is safe and functional.
• Maintain store cleanliness and proper signage.
• Order stock to maintain appropriate levels and merchandize effectively.
• Ensure product freshness and accurate signage.
