Job summary

Five Below is seeking an energetic leader to oversee daily store operations and guest experience in Matthews, NC. The role emphasizes training crews, managing duties, and upholding excellent customer service with a focus on fast checkout and stock organization.

You will act as Manager on Duty, handle opening/closing procedures, and support onboarding while driving sales and controlling expenses through merchandising and team performance. Must be 18+ with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensuring fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates, ensuring duties are performed effectively and customer service is excellent.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick placement on the sales floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management and customer service.
• Manage opening or closing the store, including cash security, doors, alarms, and daily operations.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on store policies and product knowledge.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising and staff performance.
• Partner with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Perform store maintenance like cleaning, trash, bathrooms, and stock room upkeep.
