Job summary

Food Lion in Garden City, GA is seeking an experienced Store Manager or Department Manager to lead day-to-day operations and drive store performance. You will hire, train, and develop associates, monitor safety, and ensure excellent customer service while maintaining integrity of company policies.

As Manager on Duty when needed, you will oversee budgeting, scheduling, and inventory controls, partnering with the management team to meet sales targets and uphold Food Lion’s standards.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Must meet physical requirements and minimum age.
• Certified Food Safety Manager or willing to obtain within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop store associates.
• Coach and evaluate performance and discipline when necessary.
• Lead store operations to achieve financial and sales goals.
• Provide leadership and motivate associates to reflect company values.
• Maintain strong customer service and ensure safety compliance.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is absent.
• Ensure staffing across departments meets business needs.
