Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Good judgment solving problems, making decisions, handling complaints, arbitrating disputes and resolving grievances.
• Desire and ability to lead and manage associates throughout multiple departments.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position and age requirements.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary efforts.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to reflect our Guiding Principles and Core Values.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on fast and easy service.
• Ensure proper control of all store funds and assets.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and ensure compliance with security, safety, and food safety standards.
• Utilize tools such as ACIS, scheduling, CAO and business information systems.
• Support achievement of store budgeted financial and operating results.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when Store Manager is not present.
• Assist the Store Manager with day-to-day operations of the store.
