Job summary

Rural King is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations and deliver an outstanding customer experience. This role partners with the Store Manager to drive sales, develop associates, oversee merchandising and inventory, ensure operational excellence, and create a safe, engaging shopping environment.

The Assistant Store Manager is a key leader responsible for coaching and developing associates, improving business performance, supporting recruiting and hiring efforts,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop teams.
• Experience with retail operations, merchandising, inventory management, scheduling.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze business performance and drive improvements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, POS systems, and inventory software.
• Flexible to work varied schedules including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations with the Store Manager, driving sales and inventory accuracy.
• Coach and develop associates, conduct evaluations, and support succession planning.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and uphold safety and compliance.
• Lead scheduling, labor planning, and loss prevention initiatives.
