Job summary

Rural King is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations and deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will partner with the Store Manager to drive sales, oversee merchandising and inventory, and promote Rural King's values.

This role requires developing associates, guiding scheduling and performance, and ensuring safety and compliance while building community relationships and promoting growth from within.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
• Experience with retail operations, merchandising, inventory management, and scheduling.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze business performance and drive improvements.
• Proficiency with MS Office and retail technology/POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations in partnership with Store Manager.
• Drive sales, inventory control, merchandising, pricing, and operational excellence.
• Coach and develop associates; conduct evaluations and recognition.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and succession planning.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and uphold safety standards.
