Job summary

True North Convenience Stores invites applications for an Assistant Manager to oversee daily store operations, hire, train, and schedule team members, and lead with clear direction and feedback to deliver a fast, friendly guest experience.

You will manage staffing, inventory, labor, cash controls, and maintenance while coaching staff, ensuring safety standards, and supporting the Store Manager on duty.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior customer service or cashier experience is preferred.
• Previous supervisory or lead-level experience is a plus.
• Must be available to work at least 40 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to operate POS systems and basic store equipment.
• Know-how of safety, cash handling, and loss prevention procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide active, visible floor leadership during shifts and support team members in real time.
• Deliver prompt, courteous customer service according to company standards.
• Accurately process transactions using the POS system.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Assist with food service tasks in compliance with safety standards.
• Support daily store operations including interior and exterior tasks.
